Last Friday, hundreds of Bahraini took to the street to denounce the inhuman detention conditions of the spiritual leader Isa Ahmed Qasim.

The protesters asked to the authority to pay an emergency attention to the health of the Leader. And on the other side, they are saying that the government release of Qasim in particularly the Health Minister ones are completely wrong, it is only a witch hunt against the opposition inside the kingdom.

On the same line, they denounced all the atrocities and cruel practices of the authorities against people. All this is happening with the silent of the international community who is too often closing her eyes in front of this kind of actions who is a complete violation of the human rights and this anywhere in the world. It is in May 2017 that the Bahraini's authorities ordered the military arrest of the spiritual leader. After that, a local court condemned him to 1 year in jail and took all his belongings. This wasn’t finished, to finish him they fined him 2 500 USD for his pseudo implications in terrorism in the country.

Several international organizations manifested to denounce this detention who’s unfair because the government hasn’t any legal proofs against him. They asked the immediate liberation of Qasim.

The ICSFT recognize and is concerned about the health status of Sheikh Qasim. We can only cooperate with all the petitions from the others NGO. We all are claiming the liberation of Qasim and above all the medical care for his current disturbing health.

Our NGO is also warning the international community about the obvious crimes against the democracy done by the kingdom. The XXI century wants from governors to make sure that peoples rights are secured and the respect for their integrity individual and collective are protected by the international law but also by every country authority.

The ICSFT condemns this detention and those of hundreds political prisoners in Bahrein. This is due to a witch hunt who is contrary to the universal declaration of human right and any other declaration protecting the international human right.
