A statement issued by the Alwefaq Association confirmed that the general secretary of the Association has been arrested by order of the Ministry of Interior and did not go to the Public Prosecution.
Alwefaq confirmed that the Secretary-General held about 10 hours ago in the Criminal Investigation building, under the pretext of the investigation after malicious charges against him and did not leave to the public prosecution and is still detained in the custody of the Ministry of Interior.
Alwefaq emphasized targeting national leader Sheikh Ali Salman is a serious and uncalculated adventure and intensifies the complexity of the political and security landscape in Bahrain.
Also stressed the need to immediate release of the Secretary-General for Concord Sheikh Ali Salman and respect for political action and stop its targeting.
