MARTYR HUSAINA DAUDA, A B.U.K BRAIN KILLED BY OPPRESSORS!
In Nigeria of today, the rule of law is gradually going into extinction under the so-called democratic regime where the lives of innocent citizens are being eliminated unjustifiably by government agents that are supposed to protect them. Today's Nigeria is in dilemma in the filthy and bloodstained hands of inhuman dictators fraudulently disguising as 'saints'. They promised to take us out of starvation but they put us in recession. They were sworn to respect and protect our constitutionally guaranteed rights but end up violating them on daily basis. Worst still, they resorted to extrajudicial killings and state-sponsored terrorism to stop us from exposing their evil atrocities against the citizenry! It has happened again as they normally do, they have brutally killed another asset of Nigeria, a promising undergraduate student, for no offence while exercising her constitutional right to freedom of worship, association and peaceful assembly alongside thousands of other Muslim faithfuls.
Hussaina was brutally murdered in cold blood by Nigerian Police Force in Kano on 5th of November, 2017 during the Annual Arba’een Symbolic Trek to Zaria which commenced from Kano to commemorate the 40th day martyrdom anniversary (as part of religious rites in Shia Islam) of Imam Husain (AS) the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (SAWW) in the plains of Karbala (present day Iraq) at the hands of tyrannical forces of Yazeed bn Muawiyya.
Martyr Hussaina, a lovely daughter to Engr. Dr. Dauda Nalado of the Dept of Agricultural Engineering, Bayero University Kano was also a talented and brilliant 200 level student in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, B.U.K. She was the Northwest geopolitical zone winner of Federation of Construction Industries (FOCI) Scholarship award in 2016. She lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation by all Muslim sisters and her good conduct has earned her respect among her family members, colleagues and friends. With deep sense of sorrow and grief but with total submission to the will of Allah, we pray to Almighty Allah to accept her martyrdom and severely punish her merciless killers here and hereafter!
We, the members of Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (AFIMN) under the spiritual guidance of His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) have indeed lost, irreparably, one of our dedicated and active member who contributed immensely to our Islamic activities and the vacuum she left cannot be filled easily in near future! As we continue to mourn your sudden departure, we will also keep on praying for Divine revenge against whoever has a hand in shedding your blood and blood of our other oppressed brothers and sisters!
Finally, we express our heartfelt condolences to her family members, classmates and the University community in general. It's our loss as a whole. We love you Husaina but Allah, Our Creator, loves you more. May your gentle soul rest in
