The 34th Human rights council Session just adopted with a majority vote of 36 yes, 2 no, 9 abstention a Resolution L . 41/ Rev. 1 titled Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem, and in the occupied Syrian Golan. The resolution condemns the settlement activities of Israel in occupied Palestine territory. The resolution demands Israel to cease its settlement activities and grave human rights violation. The resolution also calls for an immigrate cease of exploitation of the occupied Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem and of the occupied Syrian Golan. As a form of a follow up for the implementation, the resolution dedicates a clause that calls up on the international community and relevant UN organs to take the necessary measures to ensure full respect and compliance with the trend and conditions of this resolution.

To no ones surprise USA voted no on this resolution, once again confirming the alarmingly growing trend of politicized human rights agenda, selectivity and double standard that's dominating the human rights council.
