Seven regional and international organizations in solidarity with Anwar Al Risheid after preventing him from holding a press conference

      Al Aan: 11/24/2014 Seven regional and international organizations declared their solidarity with the human rights activist Anwar Al Risheid after preventing him from holding a press conference at the Kuwait Human Rights Society after signing a memorandum of understanding with the Bahraini National Foundation for Human Rights who expressed an objection to the memorandum of understanding came in the following statement: - We received the news of preventing human rights activist Anwar Al Risheid Chairman of the Forum of the Gulf of civil society organizations from holding a press conference, stating his opinion on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Kuwaiti Society for Human Rights and the National Foundation for the Bahraini human rights. Where Mr. Rashid expressed his objection to the signing and asked the Kuwaiti Society for Human Rights who belongs to it to allow him to hold a news conference to present his opinion to the members of the General Assembly and the public, but it is with deep regret the Kuwait Society for Human Rights has prevented Mr. Al Risheid from holding a press conference at the Assembly even though he told them early in advance, and therefore we, the undersigned object that, as we consider the ban a violation of the inherent right of the rights to freedom of opinion and expression, and that was to happen by public benefit association and elected board the situation is undoubtedly reached a serious stage.  We condemn the ban and call the Kuwait Human rights Society to show its mind about what happened and justified that banning in accordance with international standards of freedom of opinion and expression guaranteed by all international conventions and covenants. Also we call on all international organizations that share our condemnation of this prohibition, which informs a tough  phase that will be harsh on the freedom of opinion and expression in the State of Kuwait, which dropped in general during the past few years.
