Important Statement from ICSFT President
Statement issued by the Office of the ICSFT President
As a clarification of what is being said about filing complaints against me to the public prosecution by the Government Agencies in the State of Kuwait on the effect of receiving several complaints from the command, the government, Foreign Affairs and the House of Representatives in Bahrain for their counterparts in Kuwait in violation of the international laws and agreements that give rights to legal activists in general and for me especially when I'm in Geneva and as a head of a Swiss organization that has the right to express opinions freely there, especially in issues related to human rights in the world, and as the President of the International Council supporting fair trial and human rights in Geneva (ICSFT) I have already issued a historical statement on 29/11/2011 that came as a comprehensive comment on the most important points included in that report of the independent fact-finding committee: Dr. Bassiouni Report issued on 23/11/2011, which was sent to the High Commissioner for Human Rights and all member states of the human Rights Council, which became the basis of movement of our organization in addition to the 176 recommendations provided by the 67 states in the Universal Periodic Meeting No. 13 of the Human Rights Council (UPR13) when discussing the situation of human rights state in Bahrain ... For that reason the Bahraini authorities are trying to restrict our humanitarian and legal mobility in defense of human rights in general and for our Bahraini Brothers in particular, and based on what I enjoy from International and Kuwaiti immunity, as a Kuwaiti Parliament member and in a states governed by constitutional institutions and today Kuwait has been adopted as a global Human Center and its Highness the Amir has been chosen as a humanity leader ; there is no room to compliment the Authorities of Bahrain since it is committed to international laws and conventions signed and which deeply believes in as a state.
As regards to what is being said about filing complaints against me from individuals who are not eligible and have no interest in the complaint, but merely to review and to earn a living it is mere malicious complaints in accordance with our content. And therefore we will follow up the matter and deal with it according to the constitution and the law, and we will keep public opinion and international bodies and organizations aware of all developments.
