ICSFT’s declaration at the HRC41 under agenda item 7, calling for accountability and end of Israeli apartheid!
Israel continues its campaign against Palestinians by denying their basic human rights, such as their rights to life, health, housing and education. Illegal settlement enterprise and destruction of property, settler violence, excessive use of force and extra-judicial killings, administrative and arbitrary detentions, collective punishment measures remain at the core of human rights violations in the Occupied Palestinian territory.
The patterns of violations of human rights that Israel has inflicted on peaceful Palestinians over the past decade have become all too familiar. Since March 2018, 256 people had lost their lives and over 29,000 had been wounded, including children, medical workers, journalists and persons with disabilities.
Israel considers itself above the law and rejects resolutions of the Security Council and the Human Rights Council.
Impunity and lack of accountability has driven Israeli’s human rights violations to new cycles of violence. Impunity is perpetuated by inaction by the international community to secure justice and legal accountability.
